As we see some really significant changes in some young people's lives and a genuine desire to become involved in positive activities, it feels more than ever this year that Zac's is becoming all it was hoped that it would be.

A small group of young people have worked really hard and have shown great dedication in changing the 1:2:1 room. Both staff and young people love the new look. From the calming colours and comfy sofas, to the newly installed computers which have helped young people with their coursework, the room is an asset to the young people's hard work.

It is wonderful to have contact throughout the sessions with so many members of the Asian community. We have been laying foundations for some time, especially in establishing relationships and are now looking forward to some building!

I have been encouraged by how hard the young people have worked recently, planning and organising activities, especially the 'Salt & Light' café.

I have been really encouraged by the way the young people have got stuck into planning the new One-2-one facility and by their commitment to decorating it. They have shown dedication and initiative.

In all sessions the behaviour of the young people has improved a lot.

We are building really good relationships with some of the more challenging children and young people in MegaZacs, and are seeing the benefits of this in their behaviour and attitudes.

We are seeing some strong friendships forming between the young people at ZacSTeens. One young person in particular has been coming to ZacSTeens for 3 years, but has always held himself back from the activities and other young people. In recent weeks he has really come out of his shell and has formed a strong friendship with one of the other lads. This has resulted in him having the confidence to join in more and he is now an enthusiastic participant in the activities on offer.
