After finishing his A-levels in 2006, Paul moved to one of Manchesters toughest areas to join the Message's training school 'Genetik'. His training focussed on leading worship and developing as a youth worker, working with young people in the local community, within schools and on the streets. He learnt lots about young people and found the work both challenging and rewarding.
The following year Paul started a Nursing Degree at Manchester University but felt that his heart was really not in it and wanted to commit himself wholeheartedly to whatever he was doing. In his summer break Paul applied for a summer job at Zac's as a sessional member of staff and really enjoyed the work and found the young people responded to him really well. He left his university course and applied for an Assistant Youth Worker post in Little Lever, which he got.
In the Summer of 2009, Paul took 3 months out to work in Zambia with young people, instructing them in various outdoor activities and working with the local community. On his return Paul took up the post of Arts Education and Accreditation worker, looking at enabling our young people to work towards the Arts Award as well as learning new skills and helping them reach their full potential.
In his spare time Paul enjoys playing guitar, writing songs and watching good films with friends.
